17 May 2018 | In the presence of Prime Minister Saad Hariri, Mr. Ziad Hayek, representing the HCP, has signed three consulting agreements with IFC, EBRD and KPMG/Solon, which will act as transaction advisors for the following PPP projects respectively:
Prime Minister Hariri stated that the cost of these three projects exceed USD 4 Billion, and will be financed by the private sector, which forms the basis of the Lebanese economy. Prime Minister Hariri also emphasized the job creation capability of such infrastructure projects.
Mr. Hayek highlighted that signing these contracts represents a milestone in the implementation of the recently enacted PPP law, which adopts a participatory approach and promotes transparency and professionalism in the tendering process of PPP projects.
